Brief Introduction

Founded in 1984 in Beijing, China, Lenovo Group is a global leader in the PC industry and is comprised of the original Lenovo Group and the former IBM Personal Computing Division. The company has led the domestic Chinese market in sales every year since 1997, and also ranks first in the Asia-Pacific market, excluding Japan (source: IDC). Lenovo Group was first listed in Hong Kong in 1994 (ticker: 992). By FY 2010/11, the company was the fastest growing of the top five PC manufacturers for the sixth quarter in a row, and for the eighth quarter in a row it outgrew the worldwide PC market as a whole. Lenovo balanced growth throughout the year, leading to a record year-ending double digit market share of 10.2 percent. Lenovo was also listed in the Fortune Global 500 with $21 billion in annual revenue in FY 2010/11.

Global Model

Lenovo Group’s main headquarters are located in Beijing, China, and Raleigh, North Carolina, and the company also maintains manufacturing and logistics bases in China, the United States, Mexico, India, Malaysia, Japan and Australia. At present, Lenovo employs approximately 27,000 employees worldwide. Geographically, Lenovo’s global operations are divided into two main groups. The first covers the more developed markets of Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Israel, Japan, the United States, and Western Europe. Mobile Internet

At the beginning of 2011, Lenovo established a new business group, the Mobile Internet and Digital Home Business Group (MIDH), which focuses on the mobile internet business.
Lenovo will target both consumer and commercial markets, by creating a complete product line of mobile Internet-focused devices, including tablets, smart phones and smart TVs.
Additionally, Lenovo will continue to invest in R&D and strengthen the deep integration of hardware and software. It will also develop more attractive applications and cloud services to provide users the best mobile Internet experience.
For the China market, Lenovo launched the new generation of mobile Internet products: Lephone and LePad. Lephone integrates rich applications, industry leading design and Lenovo’s proprietary push technology. Technology Supporting World Events

Lenovo has been supporting world events with its innovative technologies.
